Sightseeing


The Islands of St. Vincent & The Grenadines offer many leisure activities and the visitor will enjoy a holiday of rare fulfilment. Some of the attractions are described below.


Archeological Museum


The museum houses a magnificent collection of stone tools and artifacts.

Arrowroot Mills at Owia


A long established crop on St. Vincent, arrowroot has recently enjoyed a considerable restoration of its fortunes, being used as a fine dressing for computer paper - a far cry from being one of grandma's favoured baby foods and sauce thickening agents.

Black Point Tunnel


The tunnel is about 300 feet long and links Grand Sable with Byera Bay.

Botanical Gardens


Conservation of rare species has been practised since the gardens were founded in 1765.

Carib Picture Rock


Petroglyphs and rock carvings, and carib work stone.

Carnival


Totally spectacular. Music and parties everywhere.

Falls of Baleine


The sparkling waters plunge about sixty feet into a swimmable rock-enclosed fresh water pool.

Fort Charlotte


The fort is on a ridge 600ft. above the sea giving a magnificent view across Kingstown and down the Grenadines.

Fort Duvernette


Was built about 1800 on a massive rock 195 feet above sea to defens Calliaqua Bay.

The Big Drum Dance


It is done at time of disaster as well as on joyous accasions like the launching of vessels and wedding festivals.

The Grenadines


These unspoilt islands are a must for the visitor wanting to have the ultimate in peaceful vacations.

La Soufriere


A smaller version of Mt. St. Helen.

Leeward Highway


Steep ridges coming down from sea, and lush valleys make this a most intriguing and dramatic drive.

Mesopotamia Valley


The panaromic view offered here is probably unsurpassed in the Caribbean.

Naturetrails-Buccament Valley


The trail start near the top of Buccament Valley and lead through tropical rain forest where there is a chance of seeing the St. Vincent Parrot and the Whistling Warbler both unique to St. Vincent and strictly protected nationally and internationally.

Owia Salt Pond


Located on the noert eastern coast of St. Vincent close to the Carib village of Owia.

Petroglyphs and Rock Carvings


Interesting excersised drawings on rocks by pre-columbian people.

Rabbaca Farms


One of the largest single coconut estates in the world.
