Credit Cards
Credit cards are accepted by virtually every shop and restaurant, and most hotels. Visitors should check in advance to ascertain which properties accept credit cards.
Currency
The official currency is the French franc. American and Canadian dollars are accepted more or less everywhere. There is also a large number of shops which will give a 20% reduction on all purchases paid for with credit cards or foreign traveller's cheques.
